I'm taking the time out for a quick update on things that are happening. It's been a pretty busy month so far, with my best achievement probably getting SOLAR and The MLS onto the Amazon Kindle store. Self-publishing is a strange old beast - I'm not really "into it" as I know lots of writers are, because I'd still much rather find a path to traditional publishing. I imagine my feelings in that respect are probably down to the kudos as much as anything - sad, but true.
Always with the writing...
In the meantime I'm entering a flash fiction competition; the prize is no great shakes, but the boost it might give me will be much appreciated, should I happen to place.
I'm still busy with SOMEONE YOU KNOW but I'm currently undergoing a big change of characters in order to oomph the hell out of the start of the novel. It's not big and it's not clever - I feel like even admitting it makes me sound like an amateur, but it has to be done.
I've also recently written a short story, set in the "ol' west" - which I'm honing for other competition entries.
And lastly...
Lastly, I'm loving the hell out of the word 'Yowzers' - even though I know I shouldn't. I blame Inspector Gadget.
Really lastly, my latest twitter update was the following gem, which I thought worth sharing, even though I know I shouldn't be proud:
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man gets *all* the pretty ladies.
