Solar - the novel, coming soon
Solar is the name of the novel that I'm currently working on. I have completed the first draft of the manuscript, and I'm in the process of editing it. Here's a brief synopsis of the story setting.
Three hundred years ago, the planet Abulyn is unexpectedly struck by a massive and deadly solar explosion from their nearby Sun. Almost instantly, the planet is transformed into a fiery, devastated wasteland. Given only 12 minutes to react...none on the planet survive.
The only survivors are those stranded on a Space Station, orbiting the far-side of the planet as the flares strike.
Hidden within the planet's shadow, the Station finds very little solace there. With no time to manoeuvre, it too becomes embroiled in the electro-magnetic winds and radiation that whip around the planet, annihilating almost all its electrical systems - leaving only the best protected parts of its core intact.
Three hundred years on, Solar is the story of how those inhabitants continue to exist.
