The Magic Light Switch is a "coming of age" novel about a young boy, Ben, who is being forced to move out of his well-loved home by his local council.
With sadness weighing heavily on his shoulders, Ben discovers a secret and magical light switch in his bedroom. The magic transports him back in time to war-time London in 1941, and to Emily - a young girl with a mysterious illness, who lived in that same house some seventy years earlier.
With access to modern technology and modern learning, Ben embarks on the journey to save his new friend from her illness - while trying to discover a new way to save his own home.
