Glitter Buckets & Spades

A shadowy agency throws its weight around the high street. Bad for business. Good for shenanigans.

Oscar Ockham just wanted to sell card tricks and clown noses in peace. Instead, he’s got a shadowy agency throwing its weight around his seaside town – and quite frankly, it’s bad for business.

For ten years, the mysterious dome squatting off the Dawlish coast has been someone else’s problem. But when an unidentified military force begins annexing the high street, it becomes clear that the local eyesore is finally waking up.

Before long the entire town is being dragged into a conspiracy that even the local gossips couldn’t have invented. It is an inconvenience of sizeable proportions and, after all, if it’s going to interfere with the Tuesday night pub quiz, is the world even worth saving?

Fighting back will take more than a well-placed whoopee cushion, and Oscar and his misfit friends must outwit an enemy that takes everything – including the end of trading – far too seriously.

Glitter Buckets & Spades is a sci-fi comedy for anyone who prefers their cosmic stakes served with a side of dry, British seaside cynicism.
